What Does It Mean To Live A Passionate Life?

What does it mean to live a passionate life? We hear about following your passion to live a more meaningful life, but what does that really look like? For each person, it will be a little different. Here is my definition:  Living a passionate life is living a life where I have a career that I love which fulfills me. It is about having an opportunity where I am able to create an impact in this world to transform other people’s lives for the better, as well as earn a good living doing it. But it is about more than money, because this is my mission. I truly believe that this is the reason I was born, to awaken and transform people, to help people overcome their fears, release their emotions, and most of all, to connect with their higher selves so they can live lives of emotional and physical freedom.

Living a passionate life is living a life that is aligned with your values and beliefs, but most of all it is to be aligned with who you really are inside. When you are your authentic self, it shines from the inside out. When you are doing something you love which you look forward to doing everyday, you enjoy every moment of it. When you don’t do it, you miss it very much and feel lost. I, for example, cannot live without speaking and coaching people. This is what gives me tremendous joy and satisfaction in life. There are moments in my business when it is quiet. At these times, I am in a planning phase and I miss the interaction with people.

All artists love what they do, but finding a job in their field and making a living is a huge challenge. Many times they feel sad because they can’t always pursue their path as they desire, or do enough of what they like because of the way the industry functions.  However, they will still pursue it because it is in their blood. They cannot live without it. I admire artists very much,  especially those who persevere and never give up. It takes courage to live in difficult circumstances not knowing when and where the next paycheck will come. This is what living a passionate life is about, doing whatever it takes to follow your passion and your calling.  It is like water. A human being cannot live without water, and neither can they survive without following their passion. Passion is nourishment for the soul. You can only flourish and bloom when you do what you love. This is what will help you make a huge difference in this world for yourself and others.

Now it is your turn. What is your definition of living a passionate life? What does passion mean to you? What makes you happy? What makes your heart sing when you wake up in the morning? If you don’t know what it is yet, what do you envision yourself doing? As Elizabeth Gilbert says, “If you don’t have a passion then get curious.” What makes you curious? Not every passion needs to be a career. Even traveling the world is a passion, spending time with your dog or cat is a passion. What is your biggest dream? What was your biggest dream as a child? For each one of you, living a passionate life will mean something different. Find out what passion means to you. I would love for you to share what your passion is in the comments section below.
