Unlock 7 Ways to Release Stuck Emotions

Many of us experience a lot of feelings at the same time. One minute we may feel angry, another minute excited, and then a minute later sad or depressed.  Emotions can be very painful and uncomfortable for us, so sometimes we’ll ignore them. We start to feel better for a while, but suddenly feelings emerge again taking us by surprise. These are what can be referred to as “stuck emotions.” What are stuck emotions? These are emotions you numb and that affect your energy field. They become trapped in your subconscious. You may think everything is fine, then suddenly you are dealing with everything from sadness to unworthiness. You may have a cycle of feelings that repeat themselves over and over again, even when you thought the issue had been resolved.  They can prevent a person from being happy, successful, and reaching their goals.

Many times we tend to numb our feelings because they cause pain. However, numbing not only causes emotions to become stuck, but also to become stronger. It is important to release these feelings, because if we don’t, many times we experience all types of mental and physical illnesses.  How can we solve this problem? What ways can we find to deal with these stuck emotions? Below, I have found a few that work and encourage you to try them.

7 Ways to Release Stuck Emotions:

  1. Feel the emotion no matter how painful it is: Face that emotion versus numbing it. The emotion needs to be expressed and have a place.  Facing the pain will help you release it faster.
  2.  Learn the life lesson this emotion is here to show you:  Emotions are a good teacher. They are here to teach you something about yourself and your life. Once you get the lesson, the emotion usually disappears. If you don’t get the lesson, it will come back until you do.
  3. Self-talk: Have an inner dialogue: Why do you feel this way? What particular event triggered it? For example, I didn’t get the job I wanted and I feel disappointed. Think to yourself, Was this job really a good fit for me? Maybe there will be a better opportunity for you down the road. What is the gift of not getting this job? Maybe now you got a better job that you love. Maybe you are working with nicer people than before.
  4. Past lives: Sometimes past life experiences create an emotion: Our soul has traveled through many bodies and has accumulated all kinds of experiences.  This is the reason why some people are not able to earn money and succeed no matter how much they are trying to. It does not mean that they are not as smart or good as others, but it can be some past life issues that did not get resolved. For example, in my past life, I was hung and killed for trying to earn money. I also had to give all the money I earned to others and didn’t have any for myself. I learned this when I consulted a medium. If I wouldn’t have done this, I would have never known how these experiences have influenced my life today. Having this knowledge helps me be more compassionate and loving towards myself, as well as helping me understand that I have no control over certain situations. I have learned that sometimes it isn’t my fault and I don’t need to blame myself.  I released some strong emotions that made me feel very unhappy and depressed. Now I accept myself, and live happier and more in the moment.
  5. Seek out an energy healer, a medium or coach: If nothing else has worked, this may be the way to go. These people can help you get greater insight into your problem and move forward to happiness.
  6. Essential oils: I read somewhere that some essential oils may help. You could find more information online or consult someone in a health products store.
  7. Movement or exercise: Moving or exercising your body can help tremendously with emotional stress. Try activities such as walking, dancing, shaking. This helps release those feel good emotions in the body.

In the end, each person is different. You may need to do all of the above, or only a combination of a few of the suggestions. You will need to experiment and see what is a good fit for you.

As a final note, I recommend taking the time to get quiet and see how you feel every day. Even if feeling the pain is scary, it is good to do it anyway. Getting uncomfortable helps heal the pain. Remember that you always have a  choice. Do your best to manage your emotions one step at a time. Take responsibility for how you feel. The good news is that you now have a few new tools you can use in your daily life to move forward.
